The objective of this article is to know the conceptualizations of the Pacific Ocean of the novo-Hispanic viceroys of the eighteenth century through their government memoirs. It is proposed that physical spaces are also mentally constructed depending on who is observing them. Thus, the novo-Hispanic viceroys conceptualized the ocean under study in a particular way.
